Privacy Commitment

The app is designed for attendance management. It is not intended to maintain continuous GPS movement history, travel routes, movement trails, call logs, contacts, messages, photos, or unrelated personal information.

By selecting “I Agree & Continue”, you acknowledge that you have read this document and agree to the attendance-related data practices described below.

Section 1: Privacy & Location Monitoring Notice

1. Purpose of the App

Atndnz is used to support attendance verification at designated work locations. During an active attendance session, the app may process location information and related session data to confirm check-in status, attendance continuity, break events, and check-out status.

2. When Monitoring Is Active

Location-related checks may occur only during an active attendance session.

  • While you are working, location may be used to verify that you are present at your designated work location.
  • During an Auto Break, limited location monitoring may continue for attendance validation and automatic break handling.
  • During a Manual Break started by you, location monitoring stops until you resume work.
  • When you check out and end the attendance session, location monitoring stops.

3. How Tracking Works

  • On Android devices, location checks may occur approximately every 10 minutes during an active attendance session, subject to device settings, operating system behavior, and network conditions.
  • On iOS devices, location updates may be triggered by movement, operating system refresh behavior, and session validation needs.
  • Session heartbeat or integrity checks may be used to confirm that the attendance session remains active and valid.
  • For certain field or mobile roles, a temporary geofence may be created around the check-in location for attendance validation.

4. Data We Collect

Depending on your role, device, and attendance mode, the app may collect and process:

  • Attendance events, including Check-In, Check-Out, Break Start, Break End, Geofence Entry, and Geofence Exit.
  • Assigned or approved work location coordinates used for attendance validation.
  • Device and session metadata needed to maintain attendance session integrity.
  • Application and operating system information used for support, troubleshooting, and service reliability.

5. Data We Do Not Intend to Collect

The app is not intended to collect or maintain:

  • Continuous GPS movement history.
  • Travel routes or movement trails.
  • Call logs or contact lists.
  • Messages or photos.
  • Personal information unrelated to attendance management.

6. How Your Data Is Used

Attendance-related information may be used to:

  • Verify attendance at designated work locations.
  • Calculate work hours and break durations.
  • Generate attendance records for your employer.
  • Maintain the security, reliability, and integrity of the attendance platform.
  • Support troubleshooting, audit review, and dispute resolution relating to attendance records.

Your information is not sold and is not used for advertising purposes.

7. Data Controller, Processor and Access

Your employer is the data controller for attendance information collected through the Atndnz app. Your employer determines the purposes for which your attendance data is collected and the manner in which it is used for workforce management.

Offrd and Atndnz act as data processors. They collect, store, and process attendance data on behalf of your employer and only as directed by them for the purposes described in this policy. Both your employer and Offrd are bound by applicable data protection law in their respective roles.

Attendance-related data may be accessible to:

  • Your employer and authorized HR or managerial personnel for workforce management purposes.
  • Authorized support or technical personnel of Atndnz and Offrd, only where required for support, maintenance, security, troubleshooting, or legal compliance.

All access should be limited to persons with a legitimate business need or legal obligation.

If you have questions about how your employer uses your attendance data specifically, direct those queries to your HR administrator. If you have questions about how Offrd or Atndnz processes data on behalf of your employer, contact support-atndnz@offrd.co.

8. Data Retention

Attendance event data is retained for up to 12 months from the date of collection. Data may be retained beyond this period only where required by applicable law, a regulatory authority, or an active legal or audit proceeding. Retention at the discretion of the employer beyond this period is not permitted under this policy.

9. Data Storage Location and Cross-border Transfers

Attendance data is stored on servers located in India. Where data is transferred outside India for processing, storage, or support purposes, such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Offrd and Atndnz take reasonable steps to ensure that data transferred outside India receives a standard of protection consistent with this policy.

10. Your Rights and Grievances

Subject to applicable law and employer policy, you may:

  • Request access to attendance-related information held about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate attendance information.
  • Request deletion where legally permissible and operationally appropriate.
  • Raise a grievance or attendance dispute through your HR administrator or designated employer contact.

Requests and grievances should be acknowledged within 3 business days and resolved within 30 business days, in accordance with applicable law and employer policy.

11. Device Permissions Required

The app may require:

  • Location permission (Background / Always): Required for geofence-based attendance validation and attendance continuity during an active session. Background access is needed because your attendance session remains active even when you are not using the app on screen. Without this permission, your device's operating system may suspend location checks when you switch to another app, which would cause attendance validation to fail. This permission is only active during an attendance session and stops when you check out.
  • Notification permission: Required for attendance-related service alerts, reminders, and status notifications.

If required permissions are denied, some attendance features may not function correctly.

12. Personal Devices (BYOD)

If you use a personal device for attendance purposes, your employer is responsible for informing you before enrollment that the app will be used for attendance-related monitoring during active attendance sessions. Use of the app does not permit access to unrelated personal content on your device.

13. Employer Responsibilities

Your employer is responsible for:

  • Providing prior notice of attendance-related monitoring requirements.
  • Obtaining employee acknowledgment or consent where required.
  • Using attendance information only for workforce management, attendance administration, compliance, and related legitimate employment purposes.
  • Limiting access to authorized personnel.
  • Providing a mechanism for attendance disputes, corrections, and grievances.
  • Complying with applicable privacy, employment, and data protection laws.

14. Known Limitations

Attendance validation may occasionally be affected by technical or environmental conditions, including:

  • GPS inaccuracy caused by buildings, weather, signal interference, or device hardware.
  • Delayed or limited background updates due to operating system restrictions, battery settings, or network conditions.
  • Automatic break events or missed location validations caused by temporary signal loss or GPS drift.
